'PM for common question papers
Date:
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday suggested introduction of common question papers in public examinations under general education boards for maintaining the standard of the examinations.
She made the suggestion while receiving the results of this year's HSC and equivalent examinations from Education Minister Nurul Nahid at Ganobhaban.
The prime minister declared the results through a video conference with the students and teachers of Chandpur Govt Women's College.
The prime minister thanked the education ministry, all education boards and other officials concerned for publishing the results within just 55 days, five days ahead of the schedule.
She asked the teachers to be more attentive to their classes and improve the skills and merits of the students.
"Our children are meritorious.
They just need proper care and facilities to complete their study and pass the examinations," she said.
The government has already formed an Education Trust Fund with Tk 1,000 crore to help the destitute students continue their studies, noted Hasina.
